for literature: G�nther Grass from Germany. Did you know, that his
most successful novel "Die Blechtrommel" (~ 'tin drum'?) acts in
Danzig and Pomerellen, maybe Hinterpommern, before and during WWII ?
He was born in Danzig in 1927. "Aus dem Tagebuch einer Schnecke" (~
'diary of a snail'?) is an other story by Grass; it acts of the Jews
in Danzig.
