Hello,

I recently read that the British Ancestry.com website had put online all the
WWI records of German soldiers who served in units coming out of Bavaria.

I had a great uncle who was from the Oldenberg-Munsterland area
(Visbek/Erlte) who served in the Germany army during WW1. Interestingly and
sadly, I have a letter he wrote a few days before he was killed at Verdun,
as well as the pocket watch that he had on him.

Does anyone know whether such military records might also be online?

Thanks,

C. Grote

Dear Andrea, Thank you for this information.Much appreciated......James
