Just remember that most Oldenburger emigrants never even saw this
place. The city itself, which these pictures represent, was worlds
appart from the country scenes where our ancestors came from. A look
at http://www.museumsdorf.de/ would be more illustrative but sadly
they show very few pictures on their site. I guess they don't want to
give too much away and want you to go there instead.

Dear Fred or any list members?
Do you have the brochure from this museum? I visited the museum in 1988 and I was too young then, but now I would like more info one of the buildings they have there, the SUING House. The website, as you say, has very little info and I did email them once, with no answer yet.
