Nikulski

Ernst,

I noticed from the list that you research NIKULSKI. I noticed because I
research NIKOLOWSKI which is somewhat similar. However, today I was
researching SPOROWSKI in an Ostrokollen Parish microfilm (Taufen) and I
started seeing lots of NIKULSKIs. Perhaps you have already explored
this, but thought I would pass along some of the info. I found just in
case you have not.

Charlotte Nikulski and Martin Tebranick had a son Jacob in August of
1874
Adam Nikulski and Helene Ropel had a son Jacob Martin somewhere between
1871-1874 (I found it very difficult to determine the year on this
film. It doesn't help that I don't speak German)
Carl Nikulski and Julie Luckdolski had son Carl Adam (date?) , and a
daughter Maria in April 1870.
Caroline Nikulski and Daniel Profskow had son Ludwig in March. On this
record I made out the town: Kobylonnendorf (spelling?)
There was also mention of a ANortha Nikulski.

Perhaps some of this will be useful to you. Unfortunately for me, there
were no SPOROWSKIs to be found.

Good day,

Hi Lisa,
thank you for your message. Adam Nikulski(*1839) and Helene Roppel(*1842)
are my ggparents. I have analysed all films of Ostrokollen, Pissanitzen,
Wielitzken and Lyck. In my files
are 650 persons with the surname Nikulski and 270 spouds. The
"Mhlenkonsignationen des Amtes Lyck von 1750" contains families of the
farmers Adam Nikulski (born before 1720) and Paul Nikulski (born before
1720) in Soltmanen as well as Jacub Nikulski (born before 1720) in Milussen.

All the surnames you mentioned (see Subject) are not contained in the
Muehlenkonsignation of 1750!

Yours
Ernst

Hello Ernst,

Thank you for taking the time to check for my surnames in your book! That
confirms for me that Ostrokollen is not the parish of my Sporowskis, etc. I
guess I need to start investigating surrounding areas.
Regards,
Lisa
