When I go to the night School, it shows the words in English and German
but there aren't any links to play anything. If I try clicking on the
little speaker nothing happens. I use Linux and Firefox, is that the
problem??

yes, that could be the problem. Or just your browser settings!

If I deactivate "JavaScript" in my Firefox it doesnt work either. If I
reactivate it, it works again.

So give it a try.

I find this option about enable/disable JavaScript here:

"Tools" -> "Options" -> "Content" ->

there third option:

"Enable JavaScript"

But keep in mind about the security! Compare:
