Nienburg, Husum families--Fischer, Brase, Neuhring

In response to the person who visited Husum cemetaries and took many photos:

My ggrandfather, August Fischer, came to Iowa from Schessinghausen, in 1882.
he arrived with his Mother; Dorothea Catharina Caroline Louise Brase
Fischer, and his siblings, Louisa Fischer Neuhring, William Fischer and Minnie
Fischer. His father was buried in the cemetary in Husum, where they attended
church. We know very little about him except his name and date of death;
Friedrich (Fritz)Diedrich Fischer, MARCH 1871. Could you check your photos for
his grave stone?

Thanks,
Margo

Hi Georgia, the Beermann's from Steimbke and Linsburg are my ancestors. Last
summer I visited the cemetaries of Husum and Linsburg. I've made lot of
photos from tomb stones. If you are interested I can bring them to your attention.

Kind regards Karl

Hi,
I am researching families from the area of Husum. Many tie into my family

of

Nuehring.

I have many German obituaries from people from this area. Is there anyone
interested in helping me translate them???
Names of people I have obits for are

Nordmeyer,
Nuehring/ Nuhring
Nordmann
Luehring/Luhring
Dettmer
Borcherding
Homann
Deike
Buchholz
Block
Beirmann
Dettmer
Wedeking

From Linsburg, Bolsehle, Husum, Gross Varlingen, and Schessinghausen

I also have started to research the english obits I have one for Gottlieb
Carl Dietrich Deike from Husum. I also have two ladies with the last name
of Plumhoff/ Plunhoff Obituary states one went to school at Husum and was
born in Bolsehle.
Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Plunhoff/Plumhoff, but only listed in one obit.

I am assuming they are sisters. One born 1851-died 1924, the other
1856-1927
Both belonged to the church at Siegel. A small area in Iowa, like Husum.
Plumhoff/Plunhoff is a very unusual name for this area.

These ladies both married Bergmann men.

Our library has an excellent source of obituaries for people in this area

of

Iowa.
The daughter church here in America for the Husum Church is, Pleasant

Valley

in Clarksville, Iowa. There is another one I believe, but cannot remember
where at this moment.

Thanks to all that have helped me out in the past.

Hopefully these obituaries will also be of interest to people on this

list.
