Nienberg and Stolzenau

Hello List members:

I have been researching my father's family (surname LANDAU, GGrandfather August Frederick John Landau (born November, 1850) and his possible cousin or maybe brother, Charles (Carl) Landau, born about 1839) and just recently learned that they may be from the town of Nienberg. Some of the family members were married in a church in Stolzenau. This would have been in the 1860s and 1870s. I assume it was a Lutheran church as that was their religion. Is there a Lutheran church in Nienberg?

Can anyone tell me where I might find the civil records for these two towns? I know the church in Stolzenau kept its own records, but they had not been filmed by LDS as of 3 years ago.

Does anyone know of any Landaus from that region, or any that are still living in that area now?
