Niemoller family in Oldenburg

Hello. I am writing from the United States, hoping to learn about my Niemoller relatives.

My great-grandfather Caspar Ignatz Clyde Niemoller was born in November of 1848 in Endel, Vechta, Niedersachsen. He was born of Catholic parents, who I believe were Joseph Niemoller and Maria Gertrud Klene.

I believe he had a brother Louis who also came to the US. There are very few Niemollers in the US, and I suspect many are from the same family. They often did not use their first names. My great-grandfather was known as Ignatius.

1. Does anyone have access to the Catholic records to help me find any of Caspar Ignatz's brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles or cousins?

2. Is it possible that the name was sometimes changed to Niemeyer, or is there another likely "Anglicized" surname I should search for?

If I can help anyone in their United States and Wisconsin searches, please let me know how.

Endel is a part of the parish Visbek.
