If my ancestors lived and worked in Nieder Faulbrück in the years 1824 to 1877, how would you describe them? Were they German? Silesien? The border changes confuse me.

We may say, they were Germans of the slesian tribe, just as Saxonians or Prussians ... The borders have changed a lot of times in the last 300 years, last time after WW II in 1945.
