Hallo Dieter,
I have a large Mecklenburg family tree (150+ surnames) that I am
considering adding to the Mecklenburg-Kontakten database. But I
have a couple of questions:
o Is it possible to specify a web address rather than (or in
addition to) the email address? I know from my experience with
the Pommern site that I get many emails from people who see a
possible connection and want more details. If they could just
link to my web site, they could answer their own questions
quicker and easier.
o I would not want to type things manually into 150+ web forms.
But if you tell me what format you would like to see, I could
send you a single export file from my database that could be
applied to your database.

Now to your questions:
o it's not possible to specify a web address. The reason: if everyone could put web addresses in the database, so also the address of infected web sites could be specified. And consequently this would mean, that eMecklenburg will direct our members to possibly infected web sites.
o currently there is also no automated import in the database 
Nevertheless we can find a solution for you: make a search for "Blank" in the database. Is such an entry OK for you?
If yes: make an user entry for you at eMecklenburg and take your web address as an alias (if this is not possible for you, I will do it manually). Next send me a comma separated list:
surname, region
...
please no given names. if the regions differ from "Mecklenburg" i can send you a list of valid regions (�mter and cities of Mecklenburg).
