There are films available at the LDS Family History Libraries, or you can
send for them there, to be viewed at the Library. I have been working in
the same area, and since I don't speak or read German, it is quite slow,
but you will recognize your name if you are not hasty. Then copy the frame
of the film and send it to a translator. Slow & tedious, but for 15 years,
I have found no other way to "be sure" of my information.

I am interested in finding information about Joachim Christopher
Gaertner,
born in Ivenack by Stavenhagen in 1750, married to Agnesa Eva Maria Becker in
Satow by Vismar, and his parents Christian Gaertner and Eva Maria
Schroeder. I
have checked the parish records in both Ivenack and Satow, but they only
mention the dates (christening or marriage) and very little additional
information. I have checked Mr. Schubert's indexes but the parent's marriage
is not even recorded there. Joachim was a master weaver and Christian was
also
a weaver. Is anybody aware of any guild or census records (other than the
