Lösekann-Nachfahrin?
Hello, With respect to the family Buck of Switzerland...this is found in a
Genealogy...the last paragraph of the translation concerns the family of
Buck. This information is from an archivist in Switzerland. Hope this
helps. Regards M. Christensen
The conclusion is that Jakob Hubli and Elizabeth Bugg were mentioned as
the parents of
the Hubli family. There are also records of the parents and grandparents of
EH Schmidig.
It is assumed that the parents of Jost Hubli, who was already married to EH
Schmidig, immigrated to Luzrn around 1600. The surname Bugg is a name that
was Buck a family out of the Luzerner sea-country since the 1300s. This
is proven by the historical-biographic Lexidon of Switzerland, Bd.2, S.392.
The Buck Family are Burgers (citizens) of a high village in the sea-valley
LU, this could be a reference to the origin of the Family Hubli, which
probably originates from this area.
