I am trying to find more information of my mothers side of the tree.

Christian NESKE *4-11-1836 Hohenkirchen +10-9-1906
oo Eva FOEDDE *5-4-1849 Hohenkirchen +1-7-18(94?)
This is where the family tree stops and I would like to build on it further.
Does someone know of my forebearers or of any information.
I think (suspect) that Christian may be the son of Christian Neske & Katarina Jaddatz but I can not find the proof as yet or could I be barking up the wrong tree??
I would greatly appreciate any information or direction.

Hi Ian,
my FOEDDE-Ancestors came also from Hohenkirch (not
Hohenkirchen), county Strasburg, Westprussia. I don�t
have much time in the moment but I will look the next
days if I find something about FOEDDE/NESKE.
In the meantime take a look at the Website
www.westpreussen.de (Datenbank); there you will find a
lot of dates also of Foedde in Hohenkirch.

there is a family Noeske in Australia who have ancestors in West-Prussia. I corresponded with them because of my Noeske/ Neske/ Nößke ancestors in Samland. Unfortenately I lost the address. Perhaps you can find them with Cindy´s List.

Foedde and Elisabeth Thoms. You will find more dates

Unfortunately I can�t verify the parents of Christian
Neske because I don�t have the marriage record of the
couple. But if he was born in Hohenkirch you will find
him in the church records, anyway the couple should
have married there. The LDS church has microfilms of
the existing records. You can find them at
www.familysearch.org; for place search type in
"Hohenkirch" and then follow the link "Germany,
Preu�en, Westpreu�en, Hohenkirch".
The county was in the 19th century already Briesen,
not Strasburg. But there are also some entries for
Neske at the protestant church records of Strasburg
(Land), not so far away of Hohenkirch.
Do you have information about children of Eva
Foedde/Christian Neske? Where did you find the names
of his parents?
