Hello List...
I have been searching for the family of Michael LIDICKER for many years
with no success.
I may have found this family on the Hamburg Index:
1855 VIII B2 Bd 1 Indirect List 1855-1865
LUDDECKE, Michael 137 Film # S 13174
Could someone tell me if I can see this passenger list on line and, if so,
how do I do this? I have tried, but cannot find the entry.
Thank you for any help sent. Please reply in English; I cannot read
German.

Hello Louise,
I think this is not the right list for a search of people from Hamburg. This
list will be better FamNord famnord - genealogy.net .
The problem will be that this list is german speaking. But you can try it
and think there will be someone who translate it. When you want I can give
the information to the FamNord list and ask that they get in contact with
you directly.

Yes, this information is found on-line, if you have a subscription
to Ancestry.com. They allow the lookups for Hamburg indexes and
passenger lists through the German databases. I have such a
subscription and can check it for you, if you wish. Without a
subscription you can check the source partially by going to Ancestry.com
and trying to check for the database, but it won't let you see the
actual page.
You can also order the film through the LDS #1,049,001 which
includes the actual passengers lists for Bd. 2, 1855.
