Name of town

Thank you Gale, Karl and Susanne -

I appreciate your information. The families I am researching are
Erich/Ehrich, Hambruch, Schomburg, Dreyer and Preussel.

I have information on my Erich/Ehrich family who were born in Gadesbünden.
Johann Christian Erich married Kathrine Marie Margrethe Schomburg 26 November
1841 at Heemsen. They had a son Diedrich Friedrich born 1 December 1854. I
was told this person was born in Gathesbinder. I felt that the name was
probably missspelled.

Johann Heirnch Friedrich Erich born 25 December 1812 married Sophie Rebecca
Louise Christiane Wilhelmine Dreyer on 29 September 1839 at Hamelsee - Eystrup
parish.

Sophia Marie Erich born 18 July 1818 married Diedrich Friedrich Preussel 24
June 1843 at Hassbergen. Apparently that is where he was living but his
family was from Schweringen.

Heinrich Fredrich Erich born 23 July 1821 - nothing further known of him.

Johann Diedrich Christoph Erich born 28 September 1823 - came to the U.S. in
1845 and married Sophia Müller in DuPage County, Illinois l9 May 1850.

Diedrich August Heinrich Erich born 29 May 1826 - nothing further known of
him

The father of the above was Johann Diedrich Ehler Erich born 17 March 1790
at Gadesbünden. He married Margrethe Elisabeth Hambruch on 18 April 1809 at
Eystrup

That is probably much more than you wanted to know Gale.

Again, thanks to all of you.

Don

Hi Don:

I just looked at the 1852 census for Gandesbergen and did not find any of the surnames you mentioned. Since Gadesbnden is less than 2K from Heemsen, you probably have a good connection there. My GF's sister from Anderten married a man from Heemsen. Apparently he had a store there.
