Naber

Hello Janet,

No, I haven't seen that book. Is that the book by Toby Bockenstedt? He
told me the book was out of print.

Yes, it is the book by Toby Bockenstedt, I bought the book in New Vienna with Toby two years ago.
Here the Naber records:
- George Naber, born April 3,1901 in Dyersville married Nellie Heying
- John Naber, born Dec. 22,1853 in ?, married Anna Katherine Kramer
- John Hermann Naber, born April 4, 1819 in Germany, married A. Marg. Rosen
- Gerhard Naber, born April 1, 1829 in Germany, married Elizabeth Rupiper
- John Naber, born Nov. 17, 1845 in Hazendorf Kreis Baren Westphalia, m. Suzan Maiers
- Henry Naber, born Sept. 18, 1823 in Germany married M. Adelheid Tauke
- Frank Naber, born Nov. 11, 1845 in Germany, came to Amerika with brother John in 1868
  married Elizabeth Kuhl
- Bernard Naber, born June 26, 1871 in Guttenberg, married Anna Burlage
- Theodore Naber, born July 18, 1821 in Salzbergen/Lingen, married Anna Maria Sudmeier

Mary Adelheid Tauke was actually born in Ohio. She lived with her parents
in Minster, OH, before they moved to New Vienna. Her parents, John Henry
Tauke and Rebecca Maria Ellerhorst, came from Twistringen. I think your
relative, Anton Honkomp, married Mary Adelheid's younger sister, Maria
Catherine. Is this correct?

No this is not correct. Anton Honkomp married 1866 to Maggie Mescher and 1870 to Elizabeth Ehrig.
(see the Honkomp database on my website)

Werner

Hi Werner,

Thanks for the listings from the book. The Henry Naber married to M
Adelheid Tauke is definitely the one I'm looking for. My search will be a
lot easier if I can verify his birthdate. I'll try to e-mail Toby
Bockenstedt to find out his source for the book. Some of the other Nabers
could be siblings.

My Henry Naber had two children: Anna Naber born May 29, 1858, and Bernard
Naber born April 20, 1860. The Bernard listed in the book must be a
different Bernard. Anna Naber married my great-grandfather John Wilheim
Erdmann.

That sounds like a very interesting book I wish it was still available.

Thanks,

Janet
