It is hard for any of us to answer your question " is Suderburg AMT or
Kreis" This document was prepared in the Parish of Suderburg and it says
that Dorothea Muller was born in the ORT Oldendorf we think.
Maybe Suderburg was former AMT or KREIS, like county. AMT is an old expression for Kreis.
Suderburg have a nice wbsite: www.suderburg.de , but only in German.
It show this:
In den ersten urkundlichen Erwähnungen der Dörfer werden folgende Namen genannt:
Bodenhusen = Bahnsen
Bodenstede = Böddenstedt
Hamerstorpe = Hamerstorf
Hoseringe = Hösseringen
Holekessen = Holxen
Redhebere = Räber
Sutherburg = Suderburg
Odenthorpe = Oldendorf I
Gruwinge = Graulingen
Im Jahre 1957 wurden dann die Dörfer Graulingen, Oldendorf I und Suderburg zu dem heutigen Suderburg zusammengefaßt.
Means, Oldendorf was former a own village close to Suderburg, now is it integrated.
The phone directory shows today in Suderburg the streets "Oldendorfer Strasse" and "Mühlenstrasse".
