Morse is ancestry.com basically same program...any one else have luck?

Hi Jo,The National Archives have all the arriving vessels on microfilm. About the Steve Morse website, definitely give it a try. I searched for about 15 years with no luck finding my great-grandparents entry into the US. I had tried the Germans to America books & CD's, as well as online. Thanks to his website I finally found them. They came two months apart. The surname was mangled badly & differently both times. You are able to put in partial names or spellings.Bobbi --- On Fri 01/26, jo meyer < gengeeheide@hotmail.com > wrote:From: jo meyer [mailto: gengeeheide@hotmail.com]To: hannover-l@genealogy.netDate: Fri, 26 Jan 2007 12:42:13 +0000Subject: [HN] morse is ancestry.com basically same program...any one else have luck???i shall have to experiment with mispelling and errors. i should have found it by now in that case as i have typo errors all the time. in 1880 census his name was mier or meir. So that and maybe other versions of friedr. or
friederick. etc.In this news letter some one said you can see the information in archives. is that free or does one have to give money first. How do you access archives?thanksjo meyer
