Molzner

I am looking for information on Frederick Wilhelm MOLZNER. He was born 3 Dec 1828 in Bulow, Kladrum, Mecklinburg to William Phillip MOLTZNER and Sophin KOENKE. They were not married. I have Frederick's birth record but I can not find any further information on him until his petition for citizenship in 1860 and the 1860 census in Madison Wisconsin. On the census he is married to Anna Friedricke KUHL. They have 3 children at that point, one of whick is Caroline, and she was born in Germany about 1852. I do not know if he actually married Anna because I can find no record of it. Nor can I find when they emigrated or where from. I have checked all the LDS records I can think of. If anyone can give me any ideas it would be appreciated.

Karen. Since they immigrated after 1850 have you tried "Germans to America"? Many major libraries have copies. Best of luck. William Thiemann

Thank you for your suggestion but I have tried that and found nothing there
either. I don't have a lot of faith in those books because I do have copies
of ship list from other ancestors that don't show up in these books either.
Thanks again. Karen

Hi Karen,

Have you also checked the LDS Film No. 69263 ? I also
checked that film for my ancestors, some time ago. I
ordered that film because the LDS Library Catalog said
it is a film on church records of Kladrum, but then I
found out that it only contains Blow records, so I
sent it back.
Since the Catalog contains the wrong title for that
film, maybe you would not have found it?!
Just an idea...
Good luck!

Anja

Thank you Anja. I will try that film. I was not aware of it.
