Greetings, fellow researchers -
Recent messages mentioned variations of
spellings of names. This is not unusual.
One of my relatives was born Adolph, and
numerous US records spell it as either
Adolph or Adolf.
Even the US census data contain mis-
spellings or errors. This relative was born
in the Kingdom of Hannover and censuses
usually show it as just "Prussia". In one
instance it shows his country of origin as
"Russia". If that had been the only source
of information, I would have been led down
the primrose path.
As always, check more than one source!
