Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1850s Northeastern Borders

I have looked at the Hamburg ship manifests and always see Mecklenburg not Pomern listed as the Province for towns in western Kreis Demmin. I did not think that Kreis Demmin was ever part of Mecklenburg. Where was the Mecklenburg-Pomern border through Kreis Demmin during the 1850s? Thanks. Charles L. Thiesenhusen

Hi Charles,
the western part of Kreis Demmin belonged to Mecklenburg-Schwerin, 2/3 belonged to Vorpommern. The border? I don't know. May be the map will help you.
