On a birth record from kreis Konin of Posen there is the name of a village where the church was named Maslaki. I have searched village name of Posen to no avail.
Has anyone ever heard of this place or where I can do some more searching for it.

You may get info by posting this query to the Posen-List.
By the way: Konin was never part of Posen either.
Shtetlseeker does find a Maslaki (coordinates 5227 1809), about 90km NNE
of Konin. The nearest villages are Zberzyn, De~bowiec, Budzisl~aw
Kos~cielny, Wola Spl~awiecka.
Maslaki is indeed in Konin. The Polish name for it is Butterholland. this
info came from Jan Textor-something she had provided in February 2004. My
daughter copied it and sent me a copy. Go to Lutheran
(Evangelic-Augsburgian) Parished in Congress Poland.
Let me know if you got it. If not perhaps I can give you a bit more help.

1. The Society for German Genealogy in Eastern Europe mentions the place
on their Lutheran Church Archives page: http://www.sggee.org/PolishLutheranArchives.html
