Martin Marck

Hi,

I have recently discovered that my 5 times Great Grandfather was born in Danzig between 1753-1757. His name was Martin Marck.

I have a myriad of records for him from the period 1787 through to 1828 in Copenhagen. The first record I have of him is the 1787 Copenhagen census where he is shown as a Tailor aged 30 suggesting a birth date of 1757. He also shows in the 1801 census aged 46 suggesting a birth date of 1754 or 1755. He is listed as 72 years of age in 1828 when he died in Copenhagen suggesting a birth date of 1756.

I have also found a lot of soldiers with the surname of Marck who were in Copenhagen from about 1745 through to 1765. They were not there before that date and not there after 1755. A lot of these soldiers were related as they appear on each others marriage and childrens birth records.

If anybody can help, I’d appreciate it.

Kindest Regards
