I need help from someone in the area of Brelingen (30900). I sent e-mails and a regular letter to the St. Martini Church but have not received any confirmation that they have received my mail.
I am trying to locate some information on the family of Heinrich Conrad Siemers that left Meitze and came to the United States in 1845.
Heinrich Conrad Siemers (1791-1854) oo Anna Marie Dorothee Grethen (1801-1892)
They married sometime between 1820 and 1827 we believe at Meitze.
My desire is to obtain from the marriage record the parents and the place of birth of Heinrich.
Any help would be appreciated. I can read easy German but have trouble writing German.
Churches are chronically understaffed. Don't expect an answer for months, if any at all. English could be a problem. In the meantime I would contact your nearest
LDS church or go on line and see what is available in films. You may also use Mellendorf which is only 3.2 k's or 2.0 miles from Meitze and has a church as well.
Brelingen is about 5.8 ks or 3.6 miles from Meitze.
