Marhenke/Kalenberg

Hi Barbie-Lew,

Thanks for the reply. I will have to check to answer your question.
Would this be something different than the newspaper feature on
Ancestry.com? At one time I could access this feature but for some
reason it does not work the same as it used to. At any rate I have
probably read and copied most of what you mention but of course wish I
could go further as different lines become apparent. Thanks for thinking
of me---Bob

Dear Bob,

Does your local library have access to NewspaperArchive.com?

I ask because there are quite many mentions of persons called
Marhenke in the Fort Wayne, Indiana Sentinel, and at least one
mention in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

There is menton of Marhenke in an Oakland, California paper which is
related to Marhenke mentioned in Fort Wayne newspaper.

There are also mention of Marhenke in the Emporia Gazette which is a
Kansas newspaper.

Mentions are obituaries. There is mention of a Henry in Adams
township..five miles east of Fort Wayne....Sept 19, 1908...just
skimming mentions sons Otto, August and Harold....

I think there is mention of an Otto Marhenke in a Kansas news tidbit
as well

Warmest Regards,
Barbie-Lew

Dear Bob,
I'm not sure if it is the same as ancestry's newpapers. St. Louis County Library system offers at home access to this site.

I think......??
One way to check would be to search ancestry by state and then maybe look through the databases for that state, and then look for the newspaper titles.

Warm Regards,
