I am hoping that someone will have some information about Margaretha Uphus.
She was born (I hope) in Damme about 1811.?
The only other information I have is from the USA.? She married Johann Gerhard
Busse 20 Oct 1840 - Cincinnati, Ohio - Holy Trinity Church.
Any information received will be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

If you are in Cincinnati, I may have some advice on locating her. The baptismal files for that area are on permanent loan. I checked Werner Honkomp's site and found two from the family Uphaus who emigrated from Damme. However, the woman was named Maria on the list.

I had the pleasure of meeting your mother about a month ago. Sr.Mary Anne Westerheide drove to Minster and had lunch with her. She had a lot of info and pictures of Mary Anne's family as she was growing up. She also had some info on two von de Heide girls who joined C.PP.S. I don't know yet how those von der Heides were connected to mine, but I'm sure they are.
We had a great time.
