from the sound I was thinking on a little place in the south of Germany, written Manzell.
I think it is easy for an english speaking person to write instead Manswell.
Manzell is today part of D-88422 Friedrichshafen on the lake of Constance.
If it is Manzell it belongs to Schnetzenhausen/Fischbach: Catalog Search Results for {parameters} - FamilySearch.org — FamilySearch.org

For the name, if you search for the lastname here: http://christoph.stoepel.net/geogen/v3/Default.aspx
you will find not one entry for Duzal. The lastname might have changed too when moving to the US.
Also Frank was most likely a Franz here in Germany.
