Cultural anthropology...is valuable because it is constantly rediscovering
the normal. Edward Sapir (1949:151)
Hello Dolly and Karl,
congretulations to your search success.
As next step it is maybe the best idea to contact the archiv in Schwerin,
called "Landeshauptarchiv Schwerin", homepage:
http://www.landeshauptarchiv-schwerin.de/index_flash_main.htm .
KRAMER is a quite common name. FITZER might be more rare. As you cannot be
sure, that your ancestors came from Mecklenburg-Schwerin, the archiv step is
the best idea.
They have emmigration lists for all Mecklenburg-Schwerin decendents (is this
the right word??). Some years are missing due to a fire long ago. In this
lists you should find names, ages, birth- or living places and time of
emmigration. So you will probably be able to match informations.
Good luck
Silke
