Louderback genealogy

Hello list,I am searching for where my 4th great grandfather came from.
There are many storys of how he came to the United States, but this is the one that I believe to be true.
He came over around 1780 as a soldier for the British and after our Revolutionary war stayed here.
His name was Michael Lauterbach/Louderback,he went by Louderback here.I found one list that had Himmelkron after his name,so I believe that may be where he came from.He was probably born about 1762,he died in Brown county,Ohio in 1832.
I believe he also would have been of the Lutheran religeon.
If any one can help me I would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Margaret Green

Hi Margaret,

follow the Link Das Telefonbuch >> Mehr als Adressen und Telefonnummern!

and enter "Lauterbach" on the Name line and "Himmelkron" oh the Place line!

Btw, there are at least three towns and around 25 villages named "Lauterbach", you may find all by using the link

http://www.heavens-above.com/selecttown.asp?CountryID=GM with Search String "Lauterbach". Maybe, the 1st Lauterbach there mentioned in Bavaria, is the one where your ancestor's name "Lauterbach" of stems from. It's situated only 26 mi. northeast of Himmelkron, near the town of Selb [ Selb – Wikipedia ], famous for its china (porcelain).

There is only 1 Himmelkron, try Google Earth with "Himmelkron, Germany", and Himmelkron – Wikipedia

Yours,

Josef Laufer
