You might ask Trinity if there church register for that period has any
pages in the front of the book titled "Seelenregister" (soul register or
membership list). These pages listed families with the head of the family
first, followed by the wife and then the children. It normally gave the date
of birth and where they were born or where they lived before they immigrated.
I have found them to be very accurate and useful.
Augie;
Thank you for the offer. The Trinity Lutheran I was speaking of is in
Cleveland Ohio. After two years of searching I found my ggm's name on an old
baptismal record written in German in this Ohio church. I looked through
all kinds of papers in Minnesota and she did not use her maiden name on
anything I found. As many people have said, if you can trace them back
closer to Germany, you may have a better chance of finding dritical
information.
