I really hate to butt in here but this Schuhmacher Name. Is it a common
name in Germany? The reason for the Question is my Great Grandfather was
married to Sophia Schuhmacher who I believe was born in Balge Kreis
Nienburg, Hannover Germany altho she was married to Johann Joachim
Schmidt who I believe to be from Schwaan Mecklenburg. I do not know
where they got married but they ended up in Erin, Stephenson Co ILL where
Sophia died young in 1860. Schmidt is a tough name to research so I
