There is a Beestland in Levin Parish, Demmin. This borders Pommern. I've
looked at these records and they are fairly easy to read. My notes say there
is also a Beestland, Grimmin, Pommern. Since Demmin borders Pommern this may
be the same village. Suggest you order the films LDS 69305 or 1348513. One is
a duplicate of the other. As I recall, one is white on black the other black
on white. I forget which is which. Also, the two film are almost identical
but there are slight differences between the two. my suggestion is that you
order both to save time.

I don't remember who asked for Beestland but here some informations:
Beestland is (and was) part of the parish of Levin, Levin is a village between Dargun (in Mecklenburg-Schwerin) and Demmin (in Pommern, here Vorpommern). Levion is part of the former state Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Beestland though part of the parish of Levin in Mecklenburg-Schwerin was part of the state of Pommern (sometimes it had been Swedish and sometimes it had been Prussia). So it is okay when a person who emigrated said he came from Prussia when he came from Beestland.
The people in former times had to cross a border between two states when they went to church at Sunday.
I hope this information helps to understand what your ancestor told.
Greetings
