Looking for a person who maybey is still alive

Hello,

I'm Mike Böger and I'm searching my grandfather for years now.
I can't find him.
I even don't know If he's alive or not.
I asked for help by the Red Cros in Holland and Germany but till now without any result.
Does somebody knows how to search further?
Is there an register of people who died?

What I know is the following:

Name: Johannes Gerardus Böger
Birth: 5-1-1922 in Rotterdam
Recidence since + 1955 in Hamburg or regio.
Wifes name : Irma
2 adopted children: Alexander & Brigita (Gina)

Hello Michael B�ger,

you should write to the Einwohnermeldeamt of Hamburg to ask them about your grandfather. Best include some proof that you are really related (though they do not always require a proof). tf he really lived in Hamburg (and not in some smaller town nearby) they should be able to find him.

Maybe somebody else can help with the address of the Einwohnermeldeamt Hamburg.
