Hello Mona,
My wife also has an ancester named Catherine Stehr, *1788 near Uelzen. Probable a cousin of your Catherine.

Carsten Stehr, *1701/1702, Suderburgg, Uelzen, Hannover ---s.o.:
Christopher Stehr, *1653, ??? --- s.o.:
Johann Stehr, * ???, ??? s.o.:
Jürgen Stehr, * ???. Molzen in amt Bodenteich --- s.o.:
Johann (Hans) Stehr, *~1560 (in 1581, Hans was the hofmeister at the first town hall in Ebsdorf after spending 4 years in the Kloster Lüne as a "dragen und tonnenmacher".
Do you see any reference to this Stehr line in your Ebstorf book?
FYI, our Stehr family immigrated to Nebraska and settled in Michigan. We are from Iowa.
also, fyi, we have done much research on the Stehr/Meyers families and also have three volumns of the book, "Chronik Suderburg-Oldendorf, I, II, and III.
Would be happy to do some lookup if you need.
Merry Christmas,
Harlan and Shirley Nieuwsma
