I have a death record (from 1778) which says the following:
"......, des wel. Caspar Herzlieb, Müller und Zimmermann im Oberhof bey Klüß im Mecklenburgischen und weyl. Maria Herzlieb Tochter. Die Aeltern wohnten auch auf der Mühle zu Groß Nordsee."
I believe that I have found the town of Groß Nordsee in Schleswig-Holstein just south of the Kiel canal. However, I can't seem to locate a town called Oberhof that would be close to Klüß.
I did find three towns called Klüß:
Klüß, Krug Jesar, Kirch MSC Hagenow
Klüß, Mühle Jesar, Kirch MSC Hagenow
Klüß Brunow MSC Parchim
Might anyone have any suggestions about the location of this Oberhof??
