Linnemann (another try)

Please forgive my sloppy posts! I included HTML when I ought not to
have.

My father was Edward Linneman (b. 1892, Buffalo NY). His father's name
was Frederick, b 1850, Buffalo NY.

Lived at 46 Cypress St. in Buffalo, NY. Frederick and his wife
Christina (no maiden name given) had at least 11 children, and at least
7 lived. He is listed in 1880 census as Cigar Maker. On Edward`s Birth
Certificate as Cabinet Maker.

HIS father's name was Frederick as well, but it was spelled "LinnemanN"
(b. 1813 in the Kingdom of Hannover). All I know of him is that he moved
to Buffalo New York for some reason. He was a brick mason according to
the 1880 census.

I know this will be difficult. Even impossible. But as an amateur
Genealogist (and some would say immature as well), I submit to you all I
know at this time.

Can anyone give me tips on where the branch goes?

Hi Gilbert,

I have the surname Lonneman in my family. They came from the Kingdom of
Hannover. I also have a distant cousin researching this family and she
insists that their name is Lunneman. My grandmother told me their name was
Lanneman. What's in a vowel?

I have Mary Lonneman and Martin Lonneman, from Lingerich, Hanover. They are
siblings. They both settled in Quincy, Illinois. She married a Joseph
Steinkamp. He married Teresa Stroot, and later Elizabeth Helferink.

Martin was born 10 November 1818. Mary was born 1 January 1821. Their
parents were: Albert Lonneman and Helena Stickamp. I don't know if this
couple had other children.

Let me know if any of this fits in with your information.

Teresa
