Lindert/Poltman and Peters in Langenbielau (Bielawa), Peilau

Hello:

I apologize for writing in English, it is the only language I know. I am
looking for my ancestors of my family that immigrated from Peilau on 2 May
1908 to New York. The family included Karl Herman Lindert born 1878. His
wife Emilia (Poltman) Lindert born 1882 and their daughter, Clara Lindert
born 1899. Karl listed his occupation as waiter. The family settled in
Detroit, Michigan.

Karl's father's name was Herman Lindert born 1849 and he was married to
Louise (Charnock) Lindert. Herman had two sisters, Paula and Ernestine
Caroline born 1859. Ernestine immigrated in 1882 and married August Peters
born 1855 in Friedland bei Breslau in New York in 1883. This family also
settled in Detroit, Michigan.

It is possible Herman Lindert owned a tavern since I have a picture of the
family in such a settiing.

Herman's father's name was Karl Lindert and his wife's name was Caroline
Weidlich.

August Peters' father was Joseph Peters and his mother was Theresia Hansel.

Thank you.

Cindy

You can look for the church registers of Peilau, look at:

  kirchenbuecher

There you can see that the church books and civil records of Peilau
are filmed by LDS.

Good luck

Hi Cindy

I noticed you left your footprint in kartenmeister.com. Have you contacted all the researcher in Peilau? A single person is looking for Hnsel in Mollwitz. A single person is looking for Weidlich. .

Good Luck
