Hallo Winfried,
danke. hatte ich auch gedacht. Gab wohl kein Leschwitz in N-Schlesien,
außer den ortsteil von Görlitz, der nicht in Frage kommt.

Fellow researchers - I have a Lehsewitz in N Schl as part of family lore. Is that the same?

Hello Howard,
no I don't think so.
If it is correctly spelled, Lehsewitz [now Lasowice] belonged to Kreis Steinau [Ścinawa] and is just a few kilometers north of it.
Try it with Google maps!

Herr Bohm -- thank you for the reference. As I do not know Polish I am at a disadvantage and you helped. I believe Kreis Steinau is listed in the family record as Steinau am der Order, correct?
