Looking for the parents of Gustav Fredrick Lehmann, b 20 Feb 1835. His father and grandfather were both ground keepers (gardeners) at the castle in Dresden. Not sure on his father's first name, but he married Bertha Miller/Mueller b 1815. The family has it that the father died early in life and Bertha remarried Gustav Krause. Gustav F Lehmann left Saxony for the US in 1856, settled in Anamosa, IA and changed his name to Fredrick George Lehmann. In 1885 the local newspaper states that he returned to Dresden due to his mother's death and the fact that his father and grandfather were gardener's for the King.
