Lechte family

Hello Hannover Genealogy

I'm writing from Melbourne, Australia

My wife's Lechte family, appear to have connections with Hannover,
Germany, and was hoping someone may have knowledge from their research.

Wilhelm Ludwig Lechte m. Augusta Frederica Charlotte Koch

Left Germany in 1856. Went to Liverpool, England

Family eventually arrived in Melbourne Australia

Brothers George and Fritz

I'm working on the tree at present

However the link between them and earlier Lechtes, and the ones
mentioned below is not known

Maybe the following will help others J I hope it does

I've only one piece of paper that may be of help, translated in German,
but the margins haven't photo copied properly

The RED is some translation provided on the document

Hello,

You may have seen this already. The Niedersachsen archives has some
information about the name Lechte in Oberbillingshausen before 1856. Go
here:

  http://aidaonline.niedersachsen.de/

Put the name of Lechte and Oberbillingshausen in the box there. Have you
checked LDS records for those towns? Not a whole lot there but maybe
something.

   Good luck,
   Barbara

Hello Hannover Genealogy

Hello again,

Have you looked at the LDS records? There are 316 Lechte's listed.
Most of them come from Holzerode as did Oberbillingshausen. That is the
little town east of Bovenden.
I just put in the name of Lechte without any other name. Maybe your
people will fit in there. LDS here:
