Langenbrugge / Lengenbrugge?

I was reviewing a Bremen 2 Jan 1867 passenger list and it lists Wilhelm
Hillmer is from Langenbrugge or
Lengenbrugge but I can't find where it is from. Later census records states
he is from Hannover (Kingdom of) - does anyone know where it is located?

Hallo,

Hallo,

At ancestry.com family tree search there is someone with a tree that includes some of my Sahs people.

Funny coincidence is that on this tree appears your surname KOLBE.

I tried sending couple email contact to creator of tree but so far no response. I think sometimes takes awhile, or maybe mail address has changed sinse last visit.

I think Imaybe I should probobly pick up the telephone and call the family of my dad's brother because I am of the idea that the tree are of relations to my cousin.

I don't know them well Dad's brother Eddie died in 1959. I never had the privilage of meeting him, though I do have couple pictures of him. I don't even know how he died.

I know he is buried at Jefferson Barracks. I guess my dad knew how he died and I'm ashamed to say that I never asked dad. Maybe I did and dad didn't want to talk about it. I don't know.

Hello Barbie-Lew,

Funny coincidence is that on this tree appears your surname KOLBE.
I tried sending couple email contact to creator of tree but so far no
response. I think sometimes takes awhile, or maybe mail address has changed
sinse last visit.

Kolbe is a rather old name (I have documentation from 1100 and before) and because of that widely distributed, and it could have had several origins (including the extremes "Calvus" = kind of "Latin Baldy Man" als well as the medievel haircut of "Kolbe" a kind of "Mushroom Head".
[during my life I had the 'pleasure' to actually go through these "states of hair" ...), but there are other meanings too.

When I recently looked at a geographical distribution map of the Kolbe name in dependence of time, the original early clusters lie in Saxony which is not too far away from Silesia where my family came from.

One day DNA will tell where the true root stemmed from....

Hallo, Hey, Hi.

Greeting Dear Mr. Kolbe,

A suggestion of seeing your name ....

Somewhere out there...

But I think my people are of regular stock.
Working People.
Regular stock.
Salt of the earth type of people.

P.S. Must be seriously doubtful that any Kolbe's... could be related to any of my toenail Uncles.
