I am interested in any information I can find about people with the surname
Künnen (Kuennen).

Meyer.

Hello,
Your communication caught my eye. My father was from the Oldenburg
area. His surname was Meyer, but that was his step-father's name.
The step-father was Friedrich Meyer. I am leaving for Germany next
week, with the intention of researching my father's biological
father's family. What other names do you have with Meyer? My
grandmother's name was Ada Schneider before marriage. My father's
papers mention the name Horenburg, also.

I know it is a very long shot... but do either of you have reference to any of the names listed below? Johann Henrich Meyer (John Henry Meyer after migrating to U.S.) was my Great-Great Grandfather.

I have no direct referenc, but one Joann Berndt Brandt, born c. 1735. He married 26 Nov 1771 in Goldenstedt Maria Gertrud Bruns. Goldenstedt is nearby Lutten.
