I had been looking for a Carl Johann Christian Krueger/Kroeger born on Oct 10, 1833 in Mecklenburg. He married Marie Simon on May 3, 1857 in Detroit, MI. He and Marie had nine children namely: Mary Ann, Heinrich, Caroline, Carl Jr, Joseph (Joachim), August, Minna and Frederick (our grandfather). Marie died in 1884 and Carl in May 1917.
Did your relative had a brother named Carl? Did he come to the US possibly in or around 1855? Settled in Detroit, MI or nearby Macomb Co?
I had search for him since 1992, but my only clues were his 1870 Feb census and church burial record which stated he came from Mecklenburg; and his 1900 Fed census which stated he came to the US in 1854/55.
I would be willing to exchange info with you regarding our family.
