Kreis GIF(T)HORN

Hello,

I am looking for the small village from kreis GIF(T)HORN.
Unfortunately I know only beginning of its name : GROSS [M]..... In
1902 and 1903 in this village lived my great grandparents - family
CZERWINSKI. I have a copy of citizens register where this name is
written. If anybody has any hint about this village I will be very
thankful.

    There is a Gross Moor in the Gifhorn area. Another is a little farther
north by the name of Gross Oesingen. See this:

You type in locality and results that reference the locality are listed.

I suppose for Gifhorn in your instance you would then select County from result list..and then list of localities in the County of Gifhorn are given.

These are all begining Gross in the County catagory.

Grossmoor - Ort

Groß Oesingen - Munincipality
Groß Schwülper - Ort

You can also select Parrish, Kirchenkries, etc.

Hello Marcin,

There are two villages: Groß Oesingen and Groß Schwülper in the county of
Gifhorn. Groß Oesingen lays 20 km north of Gifhorn in the direction to
Uelzen. Groß Schwülper 18 km southwest of Gifhorn in the direction to Peine.
Other villages with the beginning of Groß xxxx are unknown.
