I did figure it out...I'm pretty sure Statthalter Rehwinkel is actually
Johann Christian Friedrich Rehwinkel my GGUncle, who apparently was a
governor of sorts with the loose translation of Statthalter. I can find
lots of info on him and the Beier family he marries into, however, I'm
actually looking for my GGGrandfather August Rehwinkel who likely would
have been in the Kr, Arnswalde area. The father of both August and Johann
(or Fred as he eventually went by) was Christian Rehwinkel last listed in
Kahnsfelde, a farm area outside Arnswalde.
August married a Freidrika Bruetz (not sure of that spelling, it could be
Brutz or I think likely Braatz). I found a Friedrika Braatz and a Joanne
Rehwinkel up in Liebenow and I want to explore the other areas such as
Pammin and Reetz, but of course can't find digital records online.
Arnswald and Sellnow are held hostage at family history centers and I
rarely am able to get there with their scattered hours.
Any ideas on other places I could look for the Rehwinkels would be
appreciated.
