I found an entry in the Reichenbach parish records for an 1865 baptism for
a Statthalter Rehwinkel which I've been told is the English equivalent of
Govorner or something along those lines. It's probably a long shot but is
there a way to find out who this was since I don't know the first name?
Not a lot of Rehwinkels in this area so I'm almost certain it's an
ancestor but I don't know how to find out who it was.
Thanks.

Hi Amy,
as there is a digital copy of the Baptism records online at Archion.de
for the Reichenbach in Preusisch Holland this could be possible if he
was a Protestant.
I did a quick look in the year you mentioned but didn't found him (since
the writing is also not easy to read).
Maybe soeone else can help you with this.
Here ist the Link to the Book:

Hi Amy,
I looked also through the book including 1864 to 1866 but couln't find
any. Maybe he was catholic?
Maybe it is not the right Reichenbach. If you look into GOV you can
find lots of Reichenbach.
<GOV :: The Historic Gazetteer;
Where did you find your information?

Frank
