Bauerknecht = farmhand, Hof(f)mädchen = girl working on the farm

Klaus,

   This would be interesting. In my Kuhlow family there were two other
   marriages with Schmidt.

   I would have to try to find the baptism records for the children of
   this couple N. Kuhlow + Elisab. Dor. Schmidt who married in
   Glocksein. If they lived in Neuenkirchen then I don't think the
   records of their children would be found. What can I do then?
   (Does N. mean name is unknown?)

   I have some old photos of Kuhlow family from about 1870. Would you
   like me to e-mail them to you? I wonder if there is any family
   resemblence?
