Kopulationsregister - Neuenkirchen, Meck-Strelitz 1853 - 1855

Hello List !

Does anyone have Schubert Kopulationsregister to look up this marriage?

Johann Christian Friedrich Kulow (b. 27 Jun 1820)
married between 1853 - 1855
Hannah Caroline Coe (b. 3 Aug 1830)

Location would be in or near Neuenkirchen, Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

Any Kulow marriage in this time would be of ineterest

Thank you, Pam

Hi Pam,

I checked the register for 1826-1875 for that part of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
There are many Ku(h)low's, but not a suitable marriage. I looked for grooms only.
The name Coe is very unusual here and there is no appearance in the register for
that name at all.
Coe seems more an English name, so they may have met at the immigration to the
U.S.?

Hello

I was wondering about the "Coe" surname. There are some family documents in old German script that have not been translated. On one I think I see the name Johanna Krog and her father was Karl Krog and the date 1833 is listed. I am wondering if this was the bride's name and not Coe? Possibly the name Hannah is an americanized version of Johanna and possible the surname Coe was a mistake.

If you have access to Ancestry.com you can try the links to the old documents. If you click on the picture it will enlarge. There are two that mention Johann Christian Friedrich Kulow in Mecklenburg-Strelitz (at the top it shows the name "Georg" the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) and one document mentions Johanna Krog . Unfortunately the documents do not view well through e-mail, but on Ancestry.com it is possible to enlarge them to see better.

Dr. Gronau,

If you are able to view the links of old documents that I attached you will probably have to click on the little image twice to get it to enlarge. I can show much bigger.

Thanks, Pam

Hi Pam,
sorry but we can read your tree only with the american abo. Please tell us the date of immigration or travel from port.

Hi Pam,
it says Johanna Krog, daughter of Karl Krog, who wants to emigrate to America.
The other document is Kulow's release certificate from the military service.

If you need a translation please tell me.

Hi Anne,

At the bottom of the document that is about Johanna Krog, is there a year 1833? Is that the year of the petition? Also do you see the town name mentioned?

In the military document I wonder if it gives an indication where Johann Christian Friedrich Kulow was born or where he came from?

Thank you, Pam

Pam, I will answer to your private mail, not via Mecklenburg list
