Klare Aussage im Betreff

Hallo

Bei der großen Anzahl von eingehenden Mails orientiere ich mich - und wie ich weiß, andere Forscher auch -
an der Betreffzeile. Wenn z.B. nur: Ahnensuche, Datensuche oder Ähnliches im Betreff steht, drücke ich sofort die Löschtaste. Ich könnte natürlich etwas Interessantes verpaßt haben. Für den Suchenden ist es eventuell noch gravierender, da er u.U. mehrere Antworten nicht erhält.

Darum, eine klare Aussage im Betreff ist für beide Seiten von Vorteil.

Many of the list members sort their incoming mails in having a first glimpse at the subject line. If this isn't meanignful enough, they delete the posting.
So, if you want your posting to be read, choose other subjects than "help wanted", "ancestor research" or similar ones.
Better say "MEIER in XY-TOWN" or "translation help for birth certificate" and so forth.
Please write names (persons or places) in capital letters.
