Bei www.arkivalieronline.dk sind jetzt die Kirchbücher von der Stadt Ribe/Ripen (Ribe Domsogn 1623-1891 und Skt. Katharine 1685-1891) und den Dörfern der Ribe Herred/Harde zugänglich.
Soweit ich sehen kann, fehlen bei AO in Nordschleswig nur Teile von Amt Sönderborg/Sonderburg, u.a Als/die Insel Alsen. Die Ämter Tönder/Tondern, Haderslev/Hadersleben, Aabenraa/Apenrade sind abgeschlossen.
Ärö/Insel Aeroe, die auch zu dem Herzogtümern gehörte, findet man im Amt Svendborg. Die 'ausgelösten 7 Kirchspiele' zwischen Hadersleben und Kolding (1864 gegen königreichliche Exklaven im Herzogtum Schleswig ausgetauscht) findet man z.T. unter Amt Haderslev/Hadersleben, nach 1864 unter Amt Vejle, zu dem sie noch gehören.
Ausserdem sollte man die Kirchspiele in Kopenhagen auch aufsuchen, wenn man in den Herzogtümern Genealogie betreibt: u.a. Sct. Petri, Holmen, Garnison und Frederiks Tyske Kirke, Hof og Slot (Hof und Schloss). Ohne die Schleswig-Holsteiner wäre Kopenhagen des 18. Jhs. keine Grossstadt gewesen.

Can this be translated into English. I am interested in anything about Ribe in the 1880's as that's where my grandfather was born in 1874. He came to the US in 1886. The name is KROMANN. I suggest you change into a Danish mailing list as both the town and the county Ribe lie in Denmark.
Kromann is a well known sailors family from the island Fanoe near Esbjerg at hte West Coast of Jutland.
The census database has an English version Danish Demographic Database

only have to fill in Kromann into the field NAVN and choose at Som boede,
Amt: RIBE and then press the buttom SOG at the top or at the downside end.
